an experiment

Dress - H&M
Shirt - Express
Boots - London Fog

I went through a phase of buying button-down shirts, because I thought they would make me feel more professional or older or something. Turns out they're not really "me" most of the time. But I still keep a few hanging in my wardrobe. Today I was looking for a colorful cardigan to wear over my sleeveless polka-dot dress, and decided to try this somewhat frilly blue shirt instead.

Like the layered look. I don't think I'm all that good at it--I usually just pick something out and then forget to accessorize with sweaters and such...but I like what you've done. And I do like the polka dots, too.

Agree with the button down shirts. I have a lot and most of them aren't really me, except for the ones that are short sleeved and more informal. The long sleeved ones are so not me at all. Maybe no one is a long sleeved button down shirt type of girl?
